Tradcatknight: Fr. Campbell, “We fear not, though the earth be shaken” (Ps.45:3)" Where do we find a safe place in these times, when true religion is despised, when wars loom on the horizon, and natural disasters occur virtually on a daily basis? Perhaps we see the ominous signs spoken about by Our Lord, and we need a safe place to hide.
Now people go to great lengths to find themselves a safe place, perhaps a safe part of the country, or a cabin in the wilderness, or just a dugout in the back yard,. But most of us don’t have the means or the money to build ourselves a fortress. Perhaps we don’t even have a back yard. Those who are in the inside track will have access to underground strongholds, as perhaps in Denver, where they think they will be safe when the worst happens.
But what about those who are left behind? The psalms give us the answer:
“God is our refuge and our strength, an ever-present help in distress. Therefore we fear not, though the earth be shaken and mountains plunge into the depths of the sea; though the waters rage and foam and the mountains quake at its surging. The Lord of hosts is with us; our stronghold is the God of Jacob” (Ps.45:2-4). tradcatknight.blogspot.com/2017/05/fr-campbell-we-fear-not-though-earth-be.html#more
