A New Humanity? But we already have a New Humanity, of which Jesus Christ, the New Adam, is the Head, and the Catholic Church, preaching the Gospel, is the vanguard. St. Paul explains:
“Therefore as from the offense of the one man (Adam) the result was unto condemnation to all men, so from the justice of the one (Christ) the result is unto justification of life to all men” (Rom.5:18).
A New Humanity? The Holy Catholic Church founded by Jesus Christ is the New Humanity. This is the New Humanity that must be preached to the nations as Jesus Himself commanded. When the human race failed the test at Eden, and Adam and Eve and their descendants were cast out into the thorns and thistles of this world, God sent His Son, “born of a woman, born under the Law, that we might receive the adoption of sons” (Gal.4:4,5).
